Overthinking? Your Nervous System Might Be Trying to Tell You Something...

Hi Reader -

I’m a recovering over-thinker.

For years, I lived in my head, analyzing everything while ignoring what my body was trying to say.

It wasn’t until I started learning about the nervous system and embodying my feelings that I discovered something life-changing:

...if you’re overthinking, you’re under feeling.

Have you ever found yourself trapped in a loop of overthinking, replaying conversations, second-guessing decisions, or searching endlessly for solutions?

If so, you’re not alone—and you’re not broken.

What if I told you that overthinking isn’t just a “mindset problem” but a signal from your nervous system trying to get your attention?

In this week’s episode of the CoCreate Podcast, I share how our nervous system subtly signals dysregulation—often through our thoughts.

While we might associate fight, flight, freeze, or fawn states with dramatic meltdowns or intense reactions, the truth is, they often show up quietly in our inner dialogue.

That shame spiral, avoidance, or people-pleasing? It could be a clue that your nervous system is asking for help.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • How to recognize fight, flight, freeze, or fawn patterns in your thoughts.
  • Why overthinking often means avoiding your feelings—and what to do instead.
  • Practical tools to gently regulate your nervous system and find calm, clarity, and connection.

This isn’t about forcing yourself to “just think positive” or pushing through stress with sheer willpower. It’s about partnering with your body and creating a rhythm of regulation that feels compassionate and sustainable.

Our bodies are incredible teachers. By understanding your nervous system and listening to its wisdom, you’ll discover how to move from survival mode into creation mode, where you can truly thrive.

Delightfully,

P.S. We just posted the May schedule for breathwork. I'd love to see you there! These sessions are powerful and also include an intimate QA and Reflections afterward (my personal favorite part because I get face-to-face interaction with you!). I send a replay available for 21 days afterward if you aren't able to attend, but I would love to see you live if you can!
